Re: Knock knock who's there

Yeah, sorry I have been so MIA. This COVID mess is keeping me beyond busy. How is everyone. Or should I say both of you?

That is weird. I can see them just fine. Not sure what else to do. Resizing for this page is a pain in the cornhole.

The misses tagged her best...

So we had a new farm in Callaway County basically fall into our laps this year. It is in an agriculture area so I am sort of having to relearn how to hunt a place like this as I haven't hunted ag land in YEARS. We have hunted the property 5 times and had 35 deer sightings which is something I am def...

Hello ODM (Old Dead Missouri) it has been awhile!!!

Have been meaning to log in and tried to a few times with no success, but RB got me straightened out. It has been a pretty good year for the most part. We have some incredible river trips this year and deer season has been successful as well. IN September I sat one of our stands overlooking our whea...

Re: Opening weekend!!!

Yeah we did that same song and dance as well. Then I finally just borrow a hand tiller and went down in our bottoms and spent two days with a weed eater, rake and tiller to clear out a spot and put one in. Damn near killed me, but they saw how well it worked and we have tried to expand a little each...

Re: Opening weekend!!!

We have three on 243 acres. Two on our river bottoms. One is probably about half an acre, one is about 1/4 acre and one is about 1/8 of an acre if that. The key to our success (well my spot anyway) this year was acorns. The ridge I hunt is FULL of them and they are STILL dropping. The deer sign up t...

Opening weekend!!!

Well we had a pretty good opening weekend down on our humble Pulaski County farm. A combined 6 hunters killed three bucks and two does with a few other deer seen as well. My season only lasted three hours. Had deer around me from the moment I got to my tree (I had a buck chase a doe by at about 40 y...

Re: What a hunt!!!

It was exciting to say the least. When we walked up on him, my son was speechless. It was so thick where we were, we had no idea how big a buck he was. I honestly thought he was a forkhorn. When we counted 8 points, you would have thought he won the lottery!!!

That is exactly right TH. I find that this year I am far too often in the right place at the wrong time instead!
