River

Post by Limbshot » May 31st, 2011, 4:42 pm

Finally got out on a river this past weekend. Was able to hit the Big Piney. Although it was 2 feet high and the water was moving pretty quickly, it was clear, fishable and floatable. Although it was a little tough positioning the canoe a few times. 3 of us ended up catching quite a few smallies (up to 16 inches), 2 little largemouths, and a gang of goggle eye. Not too bad for our first trip out this year. Water was still pretty dang chilly, but it was sure nice to be out chasing bronzebacks again!!! All is right with the LS universe!!!

Water is high everywhere. I was on Truman over the weekend and it was coming up 12"-18" every day.

Yeah, this is starting to get pretty ridiculous. I still am not sure Tablrock and Taneycomo will ever get back down!

CoE says the MO river will be high all summer.
