Sigh, not good. We spent 8 hours in stand Saturday (she is WAAAAY more patient than my boys) and we did not see a single deer. We did see a Bobcat, but no deer. I am truly at a loss. I have sat this area probably 15 times (including a sit this year) and literally seen deer on EVERY SINGLE SIT, then take her out there with a perfect wind and nothing...

She sounds very patient and that will pay off eventually. We had my buddy and his son here this past weekend and the 15 y.o. didn't see a thing and he hunted pretty hard. Regardless I'm pretty impressed she toughed out 8 hrs.

I think the moon cycle probably hurt us all for deer sightings. We saw them all over town after dark Friday and Saturday night.

Same here. The weather might might have been good for hunters but not necessarily for hunting. These sunny, warm fall days are great for deer catching a nap on a sunny ridge top.

Definitely. I am hoping we get out a time or two this weekend, but it is homecoming so that may be pretty unlikely. I may just be hunting solo a time or two. Damn the luck.

I saw quite a few deer Saturday and Sunday early evenings around 6 pm- including several bucks. It might just have been the weather here in western MO which was more overcast.

Could be. We didn't have that up here! I wish we did. Damn things.
