He saw a doe first light but passed. Hopefully he runs into a big boy this afternoon.

Weekend update. The kid hunted hard all weekend. After early Saturday morning he never saw another thing. I told him that was the risk in passing an easy shot for something better. He's learning why its called hunting but he hung in there until yesterday afternoon before he ran out of gas. He'll get one in the regular or archery season, just a matter of when.

Sounds like he will definitely do well in the future! So tough with the little ones when the deer aren't participating.

It is tough for them especially when he tagged out a couple years consecutively. He did hang in there longer than most would.
