Hello ODM (Old Dead Missouri) it has been awhile!!!

Have been meaning to log in and tried to a few times with no success, but RB got me straightened out.

It has been a pretty good year for the most part. We have some incredible river trips this year and deer season has been successful as well. IN September I sat one of our stands overlooking our wheat and oat patch. It was 89 degrees when I get to my stand, but pics were showing a lot of evening movement. Saw a spike and doe early on feeding on acorns adjacent to the plot pretty early. Later I heard a deer cross the creekbed to my west and finally saw antlers pushing through the brush. I drew back as he entered the plot and was about to shoot when he spun around to the Social Doe I had sprayed all over some overhanging branches. At 15 yards quartering away, I sent an arrow right through his heart. Seconds later I heard him crash and that was it. I will be the first to admit, this deer absolutely fooled me. I thought he was bigger and I probably should have let him walk, but I am still pleased with the finished result and the shot!!! Plenty more stories to come and will be sharing them shortly. Been very busy!!!
