Crappie at Longview lake

i went yesterday afternoon, the best bite was on 1/16 oz jigs red/chart, in 11-14ft of water around the trees. crappies were 6-10ft deep, and i used a 12ft jigging pole working all sides of the trees. shady side was the best, and only caught 2-4 fish on a "good" tree, ended up with 18 caught, 15 kept, big one was over 12", but most were under 9".

it looked like there were fish holding along the channel break, but they had lock jaw.
