Re: Cleaned up
That's not very helpfull or informative 2B.
Were the morels in the bottoms or up on hills, and what were your techniques in catching the crappies? Just the basic info, if you would.

Dave-t,
The shrooms were on a Miss. island.
The crappie came from a nearby slough. All caught on tube jigs under floats. No live bait.
2' deep in 6' of water.
There, that should fulfill my " serious " reply quota for the year.

Re: Cleaned up
They are slowing down some here in the extreme southern part of SW Mo.... CoyoteWhacker drove down from Halfway today and got in on his first hunt of the year. We did pretty good but not like it has been. Our first hour or so we (Mrs TR, CW, and myself) brought in about 20.... We sent CW home with a nice take-home bag and went back out, to a new area, for an hour or so....I didn't do too great. I had eleven....(That did much to support ole Tablerock's position that they are almost done down here).... Then Mrs. Tablerock and Sharon showed up with 53 of the biggest, golden, still fresh shrooms I've seen in a few days... I think they are holding some secret spots out on me....!!!
So, all you morel hunters from Springfield and north... Hang on...it's gonna be good.....

Only if we get some rain soon. I hunted my place (briefly) for a half-hour or so. I went to my typical honey holes and found a few very nice (6-inch plus) size greys in one of them. They had probably been there since our last rain (Wednesday-Thursday). The ground is already very dry, so we need some rain in the next week or so if it is going to be a good one here.
