This weekend?

Post by meat man » January 23rd, 2006, 11:55 am

Did anybody go fishing this weekend ? I stayed home and watched the Broncos take a thrashing. Atleast Seattle won . Maybe the Cowboys can get something done next year. Somebody give me a walleye report that is positive please. Image

Didn't get out this past weekend, but did get the boat back. Gonna put in a new set of plugs, change all the filters and lower unit oil this week and hopefully be ready to get on the water by this coming weekend. Time to start checking out upper Bull Shoals!

Havent heard of much either, Me, Bite Me, and Dad got pushed off stockton a few weeks ago. Havent fished since then, besides a few ponds around my house. I am trying to get mom to take me to Bull Shoals this weekend to try to get some pre fishing in. Looks Like dad will be at some sport show in Clinton, so looks like i am going solo, or atleast with a friend.

No wally's here either. We've been finding crappie in 5' of water and lots of blacks too.
Surely the wally won't be far behind??
Bill I take it you haven't put that new motor on the water yet??

Nope, plan on putting it in somewhere this coming weekend. I wanted to do all the yearly maintenance on it first, but had to order everything, didn't even have spark plugs for it in stock. Spark plugs are only $16 a piece for the Opti!

I know the feeling AA. I had to special order the plugs for my boat, so I ordered 12 (6 for backup). When my wife went to pick them up, the guy at the store asked if she was driving the Jaguar that was taking these plugs! $17 per plug here!!!
AGH...lost it....She pulled down my pants and all she did was giggle.

Glad mine only takes 3 plugs, the old ones will just have to do for backups!

Went to bull today no luck , All that is biting is crappies. Talked to a guy at the ramp had 15 slabs caught next to the bluffs with a jig, just casting them into shore and watch for your line to wiggle and ease back on your pole, fishing pole that is. Image
