Annual Mississippi

trip resulted in partner and I catching and bring home 155 crappie after 5 days of fishing. Probably 99 % of the fish weighed over 1 pound each several exceeding 2 pounds but no 3 pounders. water levels were very low and the spawn began 4-7-06. We caught a mix of males and females in 2-3 feet of water. Fished tightlining and bobber fishing. Both were productive. Not great in numbers but excellent in size of the fish as most were 13 or 14 inch fish. Only boated 7 small crappie in five days. caught over 100 catfish and 100 bass for the trip. Lost 25-50 fish in heavy brush. Lots of good fights with big fish, already looking forward to 2007. Image

Souds awesome. Did you haul your boat all the way down?

yes and all the way back. 4 lane highway except for 6 miles. That's to the boat dock. You need a boat, now my boat is in the repair shop. rough water, stumps and holes in the interstate require upkeep/repairs to get ready for the weekend. Bruce
