B. Piney

Post by BornBad » May 27th, 2006, 1:22 am

I was down on the B. Piney the other day. The smallies were biting, nobody else in sight and life was good.
I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature’s ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. – Fred Bear

Same here...different river

I've been haul'in some real nice large mouth, smallies and wallies on the lower half of black river, below Clearwater. Every weekend other than memorial day I have only had to share the river with one other boat.

Catchin' large mouth on 1/4oz Buzz bait, smallies on 1/16oz 2" power grub and wallies on a 2-3/4" Rapala CountDown minnow.

The highlight of memorial day was watching my 5yr old daughter catch and land (2) 3+ lb carp while fishing for perch using corn, not to mention caught a ton of perch.
