Wish us luck folks! We are packing uo and heading to Maryland for our 1st crack at some sting rays. Hopefully we will capture some worthwhile footage for Vol. 3.

Those stingrays will attack any bare skin they see. Don't forget to protect yourself by wearing 2 shirts & socks under your sandals.

What type of stingray are you bowshooting, are they southern stingrays? Are you shooting from a flats skiff or another type of boat, or wade shooting?

My only experience with stingrays are the southern stingrays on the Gulf Coast; they are small but make you learn to shuffle your feet.

Will your boat be OK in the salt water?

I used to catch them things when fishing for Cobia in the hot water outage near apollo beach in Tampa Bay. Some of them were 8 feet in circumfrence. They would cup the bottom and I would give it all I had to get them off the bottom. Once off the bottom they would take out like slow moving freight train. Dang things scared the heck out of me once up to the side of the boat they would lash there barbed tail around trying to strike anything they could. Needless to say, I just cut the line at a very safe distance. They can keep the hook.
