Pics from hunt at Grand Pass handicap blind
Rather than retype anything, here's a copy of what I just posted over on the Cafe' ;
We hunted it yesterday, 11/01/06, and it was great. (The company and the blind).
The wind was wrong the whole day, but we still slid out of there with 18 ducks.
The blind is the best one I've hunted, due mostly to it being dug in rather than up high. The long walkway also means there's no big slab right by the blind, and they even covered the ramp that goes into the blind. Very well thought out and executed plans.
Here's some of the pics taken yesterday;
View of the blind from the parking spot
From same spot, but zoomed in
Blind entrance, still covered
Blind entrance opened up
Door to blind (duh)
Best pic I could get of the inside
Dave Tim and Mo on a retrieve
Tim after the retrieve
View out front of blind
Mo watching Jason w/duck
Mo after a retrieve
Closeup of Mo after retrieve

Jason
Timmy on the retrieve
Mo resting after the hunt
Dave-Jason-Tim (No, that's from water getting in his waders)

Nice pics GG. Damm that is a nice blind. You gotta really take your hat off to the MWA fellars that put there time into that... they sure did some nice work.
In that next to last pic, it looks like somebody could use a lil more shoo-goo on their waders.

Thanks guys. Tim's waders didn't leak, unless you count over the top as a leak. There were a couple deep spots that he stepped into and got a little cold surprise.

I make fun of the waterfowlers quite often, but that's one heck of a nice blind. My hats off to the MWA for doing that.

Good deal, Kurt !
If you can manage to wack some ducks with those two slackers, ( the K.C. Duo ) you had Lady Luck on your side.
Let me guess. You're gonna expect Miss Ellie to cook you and Bradley a duck dinner ?

She already cooked up a bunch my brudda.
Snowy - You're right that they did a great job on this blind. I could never come up with something like that, but I'm sure glad there's others who can.

Kurt,
Nice pics. MWA sure did that blind up right. I heard that is the model they are going to use for all future blinds.
I talked to Tim at the draw at FG yesterday. He said you all had a great hunt. Glad to hear there was some wackage, as well.

McLintock, great party, but no whiskey. We go home.
