The Opener is Coming

Post by RB » February 1st, 2007, 4:42 pm

I know alot of you goat killers are closet trout fishermen so what are your plans for the opening of trout season. I usually avoid the opener but got an invite to Montauk this year so that's where we'll be. Anybody else going there?

I was a hard core trout guy for about 10yrs, and fished for them since I was a little bitty kid, but I have never gone on openning day. In fact I haven't been to a trout park is a couple years.
The Doctor said I should drink more whiskey. Also, I'm calling myself 'The Doctor' now.

It's too crowded. It only takes one dickhead with a horrible fly cast to screw up everyone's day.

Opener is a show, it's far more entertaining to go there with that mind-set Image

Opening days can be enjoyable, if you're 3 sheets to the wind to begin with.

I like to take my bait caster and tie on the biggest plug I can dig out of my tackle box. A Zara Spook is my favorite. Lots of action. Image
McLintock, great party, but no whiskey. We go home.

Nothing like a finesse presentation. Image
Carrying a gun isn't about killing.
It's about staying alive.
