Anyone Been Fishing Powersite?

Especially with the warmer weather, I was wondering if anyone down in the Forsyth area has been fishing Powersite and how have you been doing?

Thanks Rainbow- I forgot about that site when they went to the new format.

It looks like I haven't missed much down there, and even with the lower gas prices it is still a killer for me to go down there just any weekend.

TH, we usually wait until March to hit it. Some early whites, eyes and trout from Taney.

I usually wait until March/April as well, but have heard that February can be the best "big" walleye bite down there.

TH, I think you are right but the whites are later and we go after them too. On that trip we are filling the freezer. The rest comes in April with the big Truman Crappie.

I've almost given up trying to hit the white bite on upper BS; it seems every time I get down to Swan or Beaver Creeks I find a pile of big white carcasses filleted out from the previous day and none to behad the day I get down there. I usually end up grabbing suckers early on the bluffs over Swan before I head over to the James to really load up on whites.

Truman and its tributaries are more or less my home waters so I hit them almost every weekend. I do well on the whites and hybrids there as well and get messes of nice crappie.

The last couple of years have been tough to pattern as far as finding the crappie on the banks (at least on the weekends due to weather changes); it'll be hard to say what it will be like this year. Seems like it may be a wet spring.
