Mark Twain 8/7 - 8/10

Post by fishin » August 11th, 2008, 1:16 pm

The lake is still dropping really fast but the fishing has been red hot since Thursday night. We limited within a couple hours Thursday through Sunday. All jigs and some crappie nibbles, nothing special secondary non-visible timber was best 8-10 feet deep in 20+ feet or water.

Best fishing we have had all year, quite a few fish over 12 inches.

Fish,

Caught most of our fish in the Lick Creek and Dry Fork area of the lake. Did also catch some on the bluff outside of Spalding on Friday morning pretty early and also some on the J bridge piers. This area of the lake is pretty clear of trash and debris as you go from Spalding to Florida the water is considerably muddier. Sorry, didn't go past the Florida bridge so that ends my lake report.

Do you want to know what color jig also? :jmplgh:
