So is this something you can get at The Hair Club for Men.
Would I have to join to get one?

No, oneshot, it won't work better on catfish. However, it does work as good as on carp. LOL

Actually, I have used the HR quite often for catfish. Doesn't seem to work as well. The purpose of the hair is carp suck in food to their throat and then spit it out. They do this several times before eating. Catfish, on the other hand, seem, to pick up food, and then drop it several times. Of course, they often just take the food and run.

Either way, unlike carp which are quite hook shy, catfish could care less about the hook till it's too late.

Hope that helps. If not maybe someone else can answer better than I.

Thanks Oneshot! Interesting. I carp fish for the fun of it. Occasionally keeping one to throw on the grill. We use homemade bait and I've never really had a problem with hooking and landing fish...as long as the line holds. But I guess if you were a "serious" carp fisher or was fishin' a tourney....
