Ralph and I got a little bit of a late start yesterday, but put in at Ruark about 4pm or so. Lot of boat traffic, went down into Sons Creek looking for crappie or whites but couldn't find any.
Staked out our catfish spot about 8pm.
I managed to keep all the round mouth golden trout off of Ralphs line so he could catch the cats. He had a couple of fryers and 1 around 10#, another that was around 5# or 6# and of course the one that got hung up under the boat some how and broke his line. We could see the big boy but I couldn't get a net around him so we'll have to go back in a couple of nights and see if we can find'em again Image

That's mighty generous of you to help your partner like that. I usually end up doing the same thing so that whoever I am fishing with has a good time and catches all the fish.

My fishing partner insists we use the biggest, fattest, juicest worms he can find.
We've had better success at Stockton anchoring in shallow water, sometimes 3' or 4' deep, preferabley in front of a small cove or break in the shore line and close to deep water. 30' to 50'
We fish back towards the deeper water, hopefully we can catch them coming into feed.
