How about white bass and hybrids? Most of us will catch them more often than striped bass.

Tigerhaze, I changed it to white/striped bass. I will differentiate between the 3 on that board.

Re: 2005 OUTDOORMISSOURI.COM FISHING COMPETITION
I'm feeling shortchanged here, BB. I only fish for fliers, madtoms, and darters. There are no categories at all for those.

Re: 2005 OUTDOORMISSOURI.COM FISHING COMPETITION
Noticed it's just pole and line or fixed line????? What about a seperate catagory for bow fishing for the differnt species allowed to be pursued???? There's a few in here that do it. Just a thought.

Who fishes March thru December? Too hot then...
Todd the Anonymous Lurker and I fished together last week, and he stuck a 21", 4 lb. 12 oz. spotted bass on a Rogue at Bull Shoals. He nearly registered recently, but pulled out at the last instant. Smartest guy I know.
Rafe, how are the madtoms hitting?

Oops, sorry, that would have been the 2004 competition. Never mind.
Re: 2005 OUTDOORMISSOURI.COM FISHING COMPETITION
...and BB, what about yellow perch? One of our own was recently involved in the taking of the new state record, ya know... Unfortunately for Hunter91's buddy, that record will probably be broken at least a couple times this year!

Re: 2005 OUTDOORMISSOURI.COM FISHING COMPETITION
Seriously....Yellow Perch should be included. I know what BornBad is thinking. Where were all these great ideas when he was asking for suggestions. I just didn't think of the Yellow Perch deal. It would be a shame for a new state record to be caught and have no catagory to enter it in....
What say BB ??
