18 ft. aluminum Hawk 10 w/ a 40 hp Yamadog 2 stroke sitting next to a 1999 Black Motor 2 stroke 8 hp. I will start chasing the Musky on southern IL Kinkaid Lake here in a few weeks. If you get down that way, I could give you a tour. The Musky are everywhere on the lake. Not easy to catch though. Excellent Crappie and Wally fishing also.

making do with an older (1989) Javelin 18' bass boat powered by same year Johnson GT150 ob. No kicker engine, but after three trolling motor changeouts, have settled on a MinnKota AT65 with the Cabela's sticker on it. It definitely is not a trolling rig, but by paying close attention to the front sonar unit, I can use the electric to stay pretty close to a contour line. I plan on upgrading next Monday after the Publisher's Clearing House Prize Patrol comes by during the Super Bowl to deliver the big check.

Located in southwestern Illinois' Jackson County, Kinkaid Lake is approximately 5 miles northwest of Murphysboro and 100 miles southeast of St. Louis. Built in 1968, the lake encompasses 2,750 acres. The ownership of the surrounding land is divided among the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, which manages approximately 4,000 acres; the U.S. Forest Service, which administers 5,000 acres; and Kinkaid-Reed's Creek Conservancy District, which oversees 300 acres

16' Lowe john boat, 9.9 Johnston. its older than dirt, but the wife and I make good use of it and catch quite a few crappies. Besides, if I damage it too bad, we can rifle through our pockets for spare change and buy another one lol.
