New fishin' stick & bluegills

Post by sharps4590 » April 11th, 2005, 9:08 am

Last week I picked up a 7', 6 wt., 2/2 bamboo from a guy in Wisconsin and tried it out on a neighbors lake Saturday. 'Gills are in prespawn and the wife and I caught over 100. The fish were frisky, good sized and the the rod was a blast. Typical old standys were used for flys: Olive and black wooly buggers and I caught a couple on a #8 Clouser while searching for bass. Anyone else hit a good bite?
