July 23-24 More Bigheads

Post by Keith@AimLow » July 24th, 2005, 11:39 pm

Hot sunny days with temps around 100 degrees are not good for much of anything, except BOWFISHING! We thought we might find some rolling gar on the Mississippi so we sucked it up and put in a few hours trying to get some good footage. Gar were rolling, but unfortunately they were the smaller shortnose variety so we focused our efforts towards bigheads and silvers. We laoded a barrel full and sharpened our shooting skills by attempting once again to shoot some silvers out of the air as they jumped behind our moving boat. Yoiu will have to see this hilarious footage on Aim'n Low Volume II.

After a couple hours rest and several bowls of HOT chilli and some AC time we drove 3 hours to the Ohio River to try some night action with the spot light. We sure did find some bigheads and once again filled our barrel. We were a little dissapointed as we have been hearing about some 50-60 LB'ers down there and we did not shoot any fish of that size. However, we did shoot several pushing 30 LBS which was still more fun than 3 guys should legally have after midnight.

Have a look at some of these dudes!

I will give you this Keith@aimlow; ifn' you want to sell videos, keep Robin and that other ugly fugger off of the cover. They do nothing to help with respect to keeping the look. In fact, if Robin didn't own the boat, I'd probably kick him out of AimLow.

Robin: That is a given. Keith is stuck with little deer and little fish syndrome. I cannot for the life of me figure it out. He pulls off a good shot on a ram, shoots a rabbit through the lungs at 20 yards, and then shoots a coyote out of a bathroom window at 20 yards. Lord knows he can shoot. I'm beginning to think he needs to travel to either Rome or India for some religious exodus or something to get him back on track. Maybe he needs one of those red dots between his eyes (sari or something like that) so that he can see monster bucks coming in from behind him. Or better yet, so that he can shoot behind him. PS

The hex is over..a thing of the past. We are leaving for TX and SC next week and I plan on killing some monster fish and sharks. The size thing is almost funny these days. We can go out and me be hot as heck and shoot 15 fish to Robins 3 and you can bet your life one of his 3 will be 10 LBS bigger than any of mine. Don't let the pictures fool you though, Robins fish are NOT always bigger, they just look a lot bigger because when he holds up his fish the tail still reaches the ground. Its an optical delusion.

I think it is an optical illusion, but I get your point. He is a small feller. Now, are you guys just traveling the country or what? Also, are you taking Robin's boat to SC for the ocean? I thought ocean outboards needed something extra for salt water? I caught a sand shark over there in NC and they would not let you reel it up onto the pier. Dude acted as if they were protected or something. Anyway, are they protected?

But it was a long time ago, and it was just that one day.

What do you AimLow dudes use to get the funk from those bigheads off of your hands ?

Every time one of those nasty bastages has jumped in my boat, it's smelled worse than a shad with gangrene. Image

If you have a secret scent removal method, that's what you need to be marketing. Image

BTw,
Good job on killing those disgusting, invasive rascals. Image
