Sharks are not protected in the gulf. Caught and eaten many. They steak up real good for the grill. You have to check the state bylaws but Black Tip, Bull, and nerf/sand sharks are plentiful in the Gulf. Not sure about the alantic side, again check the state by laws.

The sharks are not protected in International waters, 7 miles out. We will be inshore, therefore have to go by each state's laws. Can't shoot em in TX or FL. Can in LA. Can in SC and VA. Haven't really checked any others.

Grilled shark is very good. I had always steaked em up and grilled. Blackend is also very good.

We deep six them for the turtles. That is what the biolists suggests. But, I know some that eat them and claim they are very good.
