I've seen some of them but I always thought they were mutts. No lie there Rafe. I thought the darn things were honest to God mutts.

I had no idea they were beagles or had the slightest bit of beagle in them. Honest injun. Truth is though, some of those dogs were probably mutts.

I've always found the names of dogs to be funny, for some reason.

I never had seen the bluetick beagles, until I hunted with Rafe. That's all I have to say about that.

I guess I do have one more thing to say. I haven't seen Ranger quit while in the rabbit cover. That dog gets in the chit, and goes. She's not the best at pointing quail though, so she does have a down side.

Also, I have to agree with PS, that dog looks like a mutt. I see those stinking mongrels running around all over creation, and they look just like Rafe's dog. Half of them are so ugly, even I wouldn't screw them.

My father in-law got hoodwinked by a beagle breeder. It seems the breeder had two extra dogs he couldn't sell, and wanted to give them to deserving folks who would provide a good home. The breeder said, these dogs will hunt. Typical looking tri-colored beagle pups.

After 6 months or so, the beagle pups were about 26"+ tall at the shoulder and kept treeing coons and possums. Roudy as all get-out too. Dang hounds got on a hot beagle, and the bum breeder dumped them on my poor old unsuspecting in-laws.

I would try running coons with them, if I had the time to do it. Mother in-law likes a young tender coon every so often.
