3 years ago this weekend, I picked a nice mess of morels on the banks of the James river.

I realize that's not S. of Joplin, but I put everything S. of hwy. 44 in the same category.

I had seen on the morel progress maps that there had already been a find in the Columbia area, but I thought it was an isolated incident. Maybe not so.

Bein from the afore-mentioned area, I can confirm there is no soil South of Joplin... just rocks... and chicken poopoo... and beaners.
