Jinksed

Post by BornBad » April 18th, 2006, 2:15 pm

I tell ya, been out twice and have yet to catch a fugging trout.
I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature’s ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. – Fred Bear

Go to Wal-MArt and get some Paddle Bug Rigs in 1/32 pearl. They are made by Laker and work well.

BB, where have you been fishing? That will make a difference in the expert advice I give you.

Are you fishing the Little Piney between Lane Spring & Hwy. C?

Roscoe - The Wal-Mart in LOZ was out of them, when we stopped on the way down to Bennett. So I didn't get a chance to try them out.

Snowy I used them at a farm pond over the weekend and caught a bunch of bluegill, one small cat, and two bass, one going about 3lbs.

We had a great time. My 7 year old son, made the lunker board with a 2 lb rainbow, caught below Whistle Bridge on a yellow power bait. (I have a picture of him with it, if I could post the stupid thing.) It was fairly crowded, but we came back with a 1 gallon ziploc bag of fillets from our group.

Those hatchery trout are dumber than a fencepost. The average ballpeen hammer has a bit more savvy then they posess. Image

If they didn't make such killer smoked trout spread / dip, I wouldn't have anything to do with 'em. Image

DMR, that smoked trout dip is killer but you can make it from any smoked fish. Gills are great with it too.
