Set lines.

Post by Warmouth » May 5th, 2006, 5:33 am

I will be at Truman tomorrow, hauling in big catfish until my hands are tore up and my arms wore out. It's a labor of love really, and I'll see if we get anything pic worthy.

45lbs of bad attitude on 4' of line and a 0/9 stainless hook, is an eye openning experience. Image

This rain is doing nothing but helping too. Image

6 fish or so, no biggies. Kept 2 blues, around 8-10lbs, and released 2 flathead 8 and 13lbs or so. Had a few small 1-2lbs fish that were thrown back also. Wet and cool, the water was a lot warmer than the air Sat. evening.

I went down below Truman dam yesterday evening and saw a nice 15 pound flathead pulled out while I was there.

I was shocked at how many lines are in the water. It seems like everyone has been putting out lines this spring. Image

Going back out this weekend. Hopefully the wind will lay down and we can get back into some cover and find those big'ens.

Got a 21lb flathead on a trotline. Our limblines aren't getting bit at all. LA's uncle has 7 fish over 25lbs this month. Being retired must be the chit.
