Dave, we caught mostly blues and one channel. Nothing real big but perfect eating size. Yep me and DMR put a lick on ole fish and the Mrs on their home water. It was hot but it was fun. Not real fast action but jugging is always pretty fast in the current. As you would expect DMR brought some good groceries. Smoked trout spread and goose jerky while fish supplied some tasty deer sticks. We will definitely do it again this summer.

LR - Guess what "S" and I took a sick of work day and heading out again to the river here in a bit to bake our brains a bit more. This time we'll tight-line with crawlers and see what happens.

We need to get our collective heads together to line up another time for juggin. Image Image

Blue's channel's, or flathead's. There's a difference in the fish and fishing techniques, not that you would know. Image

put in at Franklyn Island. We used shad & hot dogs soaked in anise & red food coloring.
tried to stay in the main channel.
a tip, make all of your weights the same and you'll spend a lot less time going back to round up the stragglers.
I'll try to upload a camera phone pic...

I know the weight thing. Boat wakes seem to spread them out more than anything. Where is Franklyn? We put in at New Haven. How deep were you all fishing? We were from 5 to about 7 ft. We had two boats with 23 noodles total. It is a lot of fun. We should have a noodle hoe down and fish fry on a sand bar sometime.

How many did you catch total fish? The 6 pounder sounds good. I have some crawdad creeks out by us and might be able to get some out of there. When this heat breaks we should give it another go. DMR and I had a good time. 2s, I have also heard of the red food coloring. I guess that helps.
