Noodle Fest 1
Noodle Fest 1
Who would be interested in a noodle float and fish fry on the Missouri between Herman and New Haven next month. We can all bring something to fry up after we fish some. (fish, don't worry, DMR and I will keep you and S fed.) Is a Saturday or a Sunday the best? Also, wimmen and chirruns would be welcome.
Post up if you are interested.

Sounds like a good idea. I can bring my boat and a fryer.
Could even plan to spend the night on the river if anyones up for that. Just make it after the Aug. 5th.

Re: Noodle Fest 1
I would like to do it but will have to see how things go in the next month, with building my new Chateaux de Tigerhaze.
If I were to go, Saturday would probably be best since that area is pretty far for us Westsiders (you couldn't pick the centrally-located Franklin Island to Overton bottoms float, could ya! ). Actually the Hermann/New Haven float would be a good one since both ramps are in town. The overnight (or at least evening fish after the float) would be a good idea- are there any big sand bars exposed there right now?
I have a decent size jet-powered aluminum boat (1860MV) if I can make it out. Not as big as Dab's 300 cubit ark, but don't have to worry about burying my prop in a mudflat.

TH, there are some huge sand bars out in that area right now. The reason for the location is that the initial group that started talking about this is mostly eastsiders. Your boat sounds perfect for that water. I would expect a bunch would spend the night after a day of, well, you know. If we do have one hope you can make it.
ODF, you gonna show up with the youngun?

Johnny Cash?! Is that what you call your chainsaw?
One day, long, long ago, there lived a woman who did not whine, nag, or bitch.
But it was a long time ago, and it was just that one day.

Sounds like fun, but with the baby due any day and the addition we are putting on "castle cupped and committed", time is a very valuable commodity. Gonna have to pass on this one.
McLintock, great party, but no whiskey. We go home.

Give me 8 beers and you will know him too. In the flesh I tell you. BTW, I used the chainsaw this weekend to cut some limbs down. No major injuries to speak of.

PS, you're gonna need more than 8....the oil in the fryer won't be hot enough until the 8th one.

August 12th or 19th. Those are both Saturday's. I'm sure some will camp on the sand bar.
