In that current you would be swimming downstream to Washington. The sandbar is probably a couple miles west of New Haven.

I plan on getting away from here around noon. That'll put me down there around 1:30.

I'd like to be there as early as possible... right there with Roscoe. Unfortunately, right now I'm not sure what time I'm going to be able to make there. As soon as I know for sure I will post it up.

The current on the MO river was flowing about 3.5 mph a couple weeks ago. Good luck on your swim.

Dave, why don't you drag your missus and boat over for this thang?

Actually the sand bar is about a quarter mi up from the NH ramp almost in site of the nearest liquor store.

I think we have a schedule conflict, but I would like to go. It seems like LA had something already planned for that weekend. That's why I've stayed out of the conversation and plan making. If I can make it, I'll let you know.

I went juggin' on the MO a couple weeks ago, and while it was fun, we didn't have a lot of action. I was pretty shocked at how fast the water was moving though.

WM, the current down by us is probably about the same. We did pretty good in mid day on hot dogs. Hope you can make it. I would not expect our mom to be to come.

Hey, now... what are you trying to say Ranger? I would come if it weren't 100 degrees everyday, and I didn't have a baby shower previously scheduled. Now... perhaps if you all planned to shower me with gifts I would reconsider. Image Image

Okay....you guys need some organization. Heres'the list of things and the people who have said they were bringing them:

DMR - grill and fryer

Fish - oil, fish coating and fryer

Roscoe - Mac salad, eating utensils and card table

PoisonSnake - potatoes to fry and turkey to cook

Snowflake - burgers, griddle and eating tools

By my estimation we still need:

Another table, 1 won't be enough.

Pans to hold the cooked food

Paper towels

Water, for various purposes

Something to sit on(chairs or straw bales), unless you all like sand in your "gash" Image

Music

Some sort of sun shades, either big umbrellas or an open tent

Chips or some type of snack food

Anyone coming out later in the day can bring extra ice and extra adult beverages. Probably will need to make a couple of those runs anyway!

Anyone who needs transport out to the bar can call my cell. PM fish and we will give you the number.

We need a plan if it rains, too!

LR, what did I miss or forget?

Mrs. Fish

S, it looks good to me. I will bring some water, I think we might have an old umbrella, I'll see what we have for chairs, I have another table to bring and some snacks and prolly something to put some food in after cooked.

What time are you and Mr. fish going on the water?

Geez, we'll have enough stuff out there to stay a month....sounds like this will be the best get together we have ever had. Image Image

That is what I am thinking. All I need is beer and food. Maybe a chair too. But, all of that other stuff will be nice.

I'll cram as much in my boat as I can. Probably have to drop it off before we start fishing. PS, what are you bringing for sleeping gear?
