It's not looking that way. I have a birthday party to attend.
The Doctor said I should drink more whiskey. Also, I'm calling myself 'The Doctor' now.

Hobie,
That's okay, I'll find something to amuse myself until then.

McLintock, great party, but no whiskey. We go home.

Hey LR, Roscoe, or Fish, ya'all thinkin one tank (6.5 gal) of go-juice will be enuff... or ya reckon I oughta drag an extree can wiff me?
I don't know how big your motor is but running up and down the river and chasing jugs will suck up the juice. If you have another can it wouldn't hurt. My motor is a 90 hp and I will have a full 24 gal tank on board. With the current you want to be on the safe side and plenty of gas.

Hobie, you might want to do that. I don't think there is anyplace close on the river to get gas. Unlike a lake where you can chase jugs with a trolling motor can't do that on the river.

My t-motor was pretty much useless on the river.

Re: Noodlefest - fishing update 8/13-14
My trolling motor saved my donkey on the river once. I am pretty much a neat freak. So, I had the gas line wrapped so tight around the tank just to make things look nice. I was heading out of Cooper's Landing and I noticed the motor seemed to be getting bad gas. I gave it heck and busted a move north toward I-70. About a mile up, it died out in the main river channel. I couldn't get it started for nothing. Got on the trolling motor and actually made it in to the feeder creek just north of Coopers. We couldn't figure the problem out until my buddy finally saw the kink in the line. As stated, trolling motors are pretty much useless other than for helping you get to the bank a mile down river. I was darn scared I was going to get to the bank below the landing and have to walk up. Even so, I was still a mile or more south of the Persche Creek launch.

That feeder creek just above Cooper's is Perche Creek.

Ohhhh... I get it. You were at the mouth of Perche Creek and it was a mile up to the ramp.
Why din't ya just float down to Cooper's?

What the heck do you mean it ain't?! When you come outta Perche Creek, Cooper's is practically right there. Can't be more'n a 1/4 mile downstream.
