Open those slits you SEPS. It says that it was caught "behind" the hatchery. There ain't nothin easy about that stretch of water. Infact, by judging the appearance of the fish, I would say he has been out of the tanks for some time now.
McLintock, great party, but no whiskey. We go home.

I hope it stops raining here sometime soon so I can get my donkey on the Gasconade. The quest for the 20 incher will be dramatically shortened this year due to the surgery, so I need to get on it!!!

Best of luck on that surgery, Limbshot. Image

I caint wait to get out on the B.Piney. I guess of all the fishing I have done, that there is my favorite. Shorts, tranquility, smallies and ultra-light gear so that even the smallest of fish can be played out.

Thanks BB. I agree. There are few things better than what you described. Definitely my favorite way to get away from everything else. Here it is May, and I haven't been able to get on the river once this year!!! Not complaining about the rain though, just wouldn't mind a little break.

Friday we caught a bunch of rainbows from 12 to 15 inches before they ran some water. Saturday we went up by the darn and was drift fishing and looking for big browns. About 3 in the afternoon we spotted a couple of nice fish so we got setup above them. First cast with a worm I got hit. Took a couple of minutes to get him to the boat. Then it was time for a quick picture and back in the water he went. Caught a couple more browns but they were only around 15 inches. Caught probably 40 to 50 rainbows during the day. Went back out sunday but no browns. We did catch around 40 rainbows that day as well. First time I had fished the White river. When they dont run water that river is very low. Some places we had to pull the motor up and pull the boat thru the shoals. Its different fishing thats for sure.
