Dave,

This was not through an outfitter, it was just a trade with a fella who wants to come up to MO and turkey hunt.

I would say that is a fair trade.

I went down to Aspermont TX to hunt hogs out of a tower blind next to a feeder. It was pretty disappointing and we never saw a live hog through the whole trip. TX was ugly, colder than it should have been, the deer were small and tame, but the quail were big.

It was a relative who invided us down there, and overall, made me come to the conclusion that Texas is the only state I've seen that can make Oklahoma look good.

It is stupid over the weekend. But if you do it on a weekday, it is fine and dandy.

What are you talking about? You said anyone that went hog hunting was stupid. Then the AimLow goat hunt came up, and we all got a chuckle out of that story again.

I tell you one thing, I had a great time and wish it wasn't so far of a drive to do it more often.

I think hunting hogs, goats, etc... where you have to pay is kind of silly. But, AimLow got this hunt free and that isn't so bad. That is just my opinion. That being said, I think trout parks and stocked fish are kind of the same way. If you wanna wear a vest and all that chit to make yourself look as if you are the real deal, then that is fine by me. Oh, and those of you (Snowflake) that don't have the gumption of getting off your donkey and shoot animals with a bow, I think you are stupid too. Image

Say what? STFU! I'm trying to make an donkey out of SF here. Afterall, he outfished me 50:1 on those tame fish. Must have been the vest.

One thing is certain is that Budman is serious about it. He is a bonafied fly fisherman. I can appreciate that.
