Ruth`s Chris Steak House

Post by hunting170 » March 19th, 2007, 1:21 am

I heard about this place about 25 years ago. Always wanted to try it, and finally got the chance Saturday night. Let me tell ya, this country boy as way out of his element. Way too fancy for my taste. Way too expensive too. My $35 Rib Eye wasn`t any better than one I can get at Lone Star for 1/3 the price. Everything else was as good as I had hoped it would be. All-in-all it was an enjoyable experience, just not my kind of environment. I`ll bet MOCraig would feel right at home at this place.
One day, long, long ago, there lived a woman who did not whine, nag, or bitch.
But it was a long time ago, and it was just that one day.

I wish. I was with my wife, and her sister and husband.

170, most restuarants without the golden arches out front, are way out of your league.

Hey at least I got through the door SEPS. I bet you wouldn`t even get that far.

Oh yeah...and I`ll take a couple of roast beef w/extra seasoning from Lion`s Choice, anyday, over that $35 steak.

Why are you telling PS about this? Why would he care? Image

I've laid low on this thread, but now I have to ring in.

First,
Ruth's is a fine steak, but it ain't worth the $35 they charge. I still have yet to find a steak house in MOMOland that I can't beat on my worst day.

Second,
SEPS, stop bringing up that garbage called White Castles in this forum. It does not classify as a resturant, as they do not serve "food".

Carry on.
McLintock, great party, but no whiskey. We go home.

MOCraig,
That place sounds interesting. What the address? Next time I'm on the west side and not hungry for Fiorella's, I may give it a try.

Out of curiosity MOPollack, what kind of prices does this place have? Ruth`s has a Porterhouse For Two that is $72.
