Good job, but I don't recommend the metal stringers for catfish.
The Doctor said I should drink more whiskey. Also, I'm calling myself 'The Doctor' now.

Congrats to the little one. I remember my first pole cat... it fought so hard I was expecting a 4 lb crappie when I pulled her up.
Anything you can do, I can do better.

LA it was a tough fight she was using a zebco ultra light rod with an old Johnson Century 100b reel and some 6 lb line the cat weighed about 3.5 lbs. I just to the pistol grip in my hand and told her what to do with the rod and she fought till she landed it. The very next worm she got a Bass that was about the same size but it is not in season out here so like a good fishermam she through it back.

Swamp Fox she had a great time! I am planning on taking her again this weekend. There is a catfish derby in 2 weeks but we will probably not get into it as finding a spot during it are few and far between. Her catfish is pretty good for around here, the one that took the derby last year was 11 lbs. so she did well. I would like to take her to the Santee Cooper for some REAL BIG ONES but with money the way it is local fishing looks like it for a while.
