Mr Triton

I worked my butt off today and finally had 2 keepers, a 2 1/2 and a 3. They weren't even close to being in the same water.

I fished jigs, tubes, jerks, spinnerbaits and drop shot.

Dont know who you are referring to as Mister, but I went up to Stockton and put in at Ruark and fished up toward the river. I had a fish on a stick bait on about the 3rd cast (that is always a bad omen for me) and that was it. I finally made it down to Googer Creek but nothing. Man it sure is dead up there isnt it? Did you catch your fish down in the clear water? I havent been up the Little sac area, but was wondering about that area. Maybe you could slip away from Red and find me some fish.

It isn't clear down by the dam any more. Those back ends we discussed are not accessable. The water temps are from 41° to 52° when they should be closer to 60° this time of year.

With the weather the way it is I'll not be taking a soaking this week if I can avoid it. Maybe Friday we could look at the Little Sac if you want. I don't go above High Point. Last trip up there cost me $800.

As for some spots in the dam area I can give you wpts or mark a map but they are quite deep right now. On of my favs which runs a long way going from 4-40 now goes from 16-56 and isn't holding anything. The old coffer is way too deep to hold anything as is the swim beach rock pile. My good ledge was at the 16' mark and now is 28'. I pulled up to one of my really favorite banks yesterday, settled down to fish a jig and looked at the df. I was sitting in 50 fow and still only had a short cast to the bank.

I may cancel my 4 week camping trip this year if things don't get better.

It had cleared quite a bit up near Ruark quite a bit from what it was last weekend. Still not what I would want it to be. Those fish should at some time come into the flooded brush and begin to think about spawning or at least stage close by shouldnt they?

One would think so, if the water ever warms. I just talked to a bud's kid. He fished a t yesterday and my humble pittance would have taken second. It was won on spinnerbaits but mannnnnnny miles from O. T.

Maybe we can find some of what they talked about in the L. S. if you want to try Fri.

H. E. 3-5" of rain may change everything for the better or worse.

Let me know if you want to go so I can put some fuel in the boat and truck.

Iffin I had to I guess I could do it....Not sure how well but I do it a lot down here at Table Rock.

Are the fish showing any signs of coming toward the bank to spawn and where were you down near the dam?

Jigman, forget about Stockton. I received a phone call from the series and they said they were changing the tournament from Stockton to LOZ. We will be going out of PB2. Thanks for the info though.....Maybe we can get up there and yank some lips off of something in the near future. Thanks again.

Nothing like them letting us know ahead of time huh?
