You should have gone over to Taney and could have at least caught a good lunch.

It has been quite a different spring. I have caught more smallmouth this spring that all of the other years put together. Up until about a week ago or so, the fish had been around pole timber where people have mowed right up to the lake edge. Pitched a brush hog around the trees in about 5 feet of water or so and was catching them. It seems like they have moved in the past week or so around where the brush ends on a grub. I havent caught many largemouth this spring at all, maybe 5, but have caught the crap out of smallies all spring.

triton, is the lake muddy down your way?

a few weeks ago, beaver was muddy from end to end. i saw a recent pic of beaver bridge on TR and the water looked decent there. i guess the water being let out is from about 150' down and clear.

i bet the lakes stay up till fall with the rains still coming

Haus, no it isnt muddy, but you can see down to about 4 or 5 feet. As you go down toward the dam it gets clearer....more like normal.

Here is a big thing though......I will bet it will add up into the millions for the corpse of Engineers will have to pay out to get the campgrounds back to normal when and if the water ever gets back down to the 922 level they say it will get to during July. All the electricity, toilets, roads, and etc. will have to be redone.....It will really be a costly thing to get them back to normal.

corps won't pay it. you & i will.
i always thought it was stupid to have to pay for a camping spot when the place is funded with my own tax dollars.

oh well. i'm a bitter american idiot.
