Doves?

Post by Limbshot » August 31st, 2009, 10:26 am

Anybody going tomorrow? Heading out with a buddy of mine. Kind of excited that they upped the limit to 15 this year. Those extra 3 birds will probably cost me another box of shells though  !

If I do it'll be out behind the barn where I don't have to worry about limits and permits. It is some fun shooting when they have a good flight going on.

I am hoping we get into a good shoot tomorrow morning. One thing is for sure, this year I won't be sweating my donkey off out there!

I left with 13 my buddy left with 14. We both had more than ample opportunites to leave with limits, but that is dove hunting! We were in a pretty good area, not overly crowded, which is definitely nice when dove hunting! We definitely had a good time. Man those little boogers are fast. Took me a little while to get up to speed yesterday, but once I figured out the lead, things got better. At one point, I actually went 5 for 5!!!

PS, Coors lite does not count and a limit = 3 cl's X 2 day limit of them ain't much to brag about anyway.

Well duh, anybody that can shoot at a turkey with a full choke shotgun and also kill the one 20 feet to its left with one shot should definitely have a wide enough pattern to kill a dove or two. :rotflmao:
