Shoot, I haven't even been yet, and this is one of my favorite times of year. I am a big fan of jerkbaits. Prolly won't even get out before the surgery this year. Which means I probably won't even hit the water before April. Geesh, now that I talk about it, I'm kind of depressed!!!

Yeah, we stayed down at the lake this weekend out on Horseshoe Bend, and the cove we were on looked good Saturday, but it was kind of hard on top Sunday.

LS, hope the surgery thing is not serious enough to get in the way of fishing this year.

Thanks RB. Just another hip replacement like the one I had 3 years ago. Not the saem hip, that one is doing great! I'll probably be out of commission for a month or 2, but after that, life will be much better, and the fish had better look out!!!

LS, you talking about Truman or LOZ or even Bull Shoals? Thought originally you were talking about BS, but pro something up north of here.

Sorry Triton. Meant Lake of the Ozarks. Sure looked fishy where we were. The owner of the place went out and caught a gang of crappie Saturday. He couldn't get out Sunday.

LS, good luck with the replacement. I messed up a knee over the holidays and it is still giving me a fit. Next step MRI with possible surgery about the same time. Someday that ol knee is going to get replaced also.

My procedure is next Tuesday (9th).

Yeah I have been around the lake a lot this time of year (since roughly 1990) and I have never seen it frozen like it was this year. Marcus Sykora told me he has a buddy that lives behind Hawaiian Island down there, and the ice around his dock was about 6 inches thick! Never seen ice like that down there.
