Anybody been yanking on 'em at Ozarks? Pops and I are fishing a small tourney out of Ft. Wood Rec tomorrow and was just curious if anybody had been doing any good down there. Of course I realize by the time anybody reads this, the tournament will be a memory, but thought I'd give it a try anyway. -LS

Well thanks anyway Triton. We ended up taking 4th out of 32 boats. We weighed in a 5 fish limit that went just over 15 pounds. 1st through 3rd were all just over 16. We just couldn't get the big bite we needed. We caught 13 keepers all day. We did lose 1 in the 3.5 pound range that would have put us right up there with the leaders, as our smallest was a 2.52. That fish would have likely moved us into 3rd, maybe 2nd. We just needed 1 fish over 4 pounds, and never even had it on. Pretty good day on the water though. My first tourney in over 2 years! It was nice to be back out there.

Good deal Limbshot. Were the fish spawning or post spawn?

About half and half really. Dad caught all his fish on a carolina rigged lizard and I caught all mine on topwater and super flukes. I literally threw topwater up until the last hour and a half when I switched to a jog trying to get a big bite.
