have a friend who goes down there every spring and winter but he doesnt get into the mexico area. fishing is great but I would be afraid of catching a severed head on a jig

From what I hear from my Texas friends that chit is real down there and not just on the Mexican side of the lake. The bastards use high speed boat and have automatic weapons. The federales don't want to mess with them. Besides there isn't a bass in the world worth getting your head chopped off for.
