Bunny hunt

Post by Rafe Hollister » January 24th, 2011, 9:28 am

The yung 'un and I are doing a lot of rabbit chasing here in the last few weeks of season. Saturday he kept up with me and the dog. The dog ran great--probably as good as I've ever seen her do. She did lose 1 that surprised me a lot, but otherwise her performance was flawless. I've got some bunny meat in the fridge and hopefully will have some more over the next few weeks.

I took a few pictures. Maybe I'll post a couple later today.

Rafe, you just can't beat that grin on Junior. Looks like a good spot for bunnies. And, good to see you wearing a shirt.

I finally sold enough plasma and aluminum cans to make it down to the Goodwill and buy a couple shirts.

Were you hunting that same CA?

That was a good piece of bunny land.

We were at a CA between Joplin & Springfield. From what I can tell, there are still some bunnies left, but this late in the season, they're pretty stealthy. They were hard to see and hard to hit. That dog was great to watch.

I agree with everything RB said, especially about the shirts.
