Mizzou B-Ball Stomps Iowa State

Post by Tigerhaze » January 24th, 2011, 10:11 am

I ended up going to the game Saturday evening, and had seats in Section 110 (the end of the lower level across from the student section) so got some good pics. I'll get a couple of the good ones up here in the next day or two- I'm pretty sure I got some of Ratliffe blocking ISU shots and some of the 3-pointers made by Dixon and Safford.

I thought the student section was going to storm the court when Sutton made that 3. :jmplgh:

TH, MSU had a great game vs Creighton Saturday as well. Didnt play very well but came out with a 1 point victory. Wasnt necessarily a good game but it was as exciting a game as I have seen in a long time...MSU was behind by 15 with 15 left.

I watched the very start of that MSU game but had to miss most of it to get to Columbia at a reasonable time- also was too far for radio reception on the "Gentle Giant".

I really like watching basketball in the MVC- the games seems to be more competitive year to year and night to night than in the Big 12.

Regarding the MVC, I saw part of the Shocker/Saluki game last night- seemed like a good contest. I also saw that the other 3 games the last two days were very close.

TH, in regard to the mvc most of the games are exactly like that. Bradley beat Indiana State in ot last nite and Ind state had only lost 2 conference games. Almost all of the games are kind of like carbon copies of each othere and the strongest survive
