Guess what I got on cam in my yard yesterday? The area beyond here is all common ground, but trust me when I say this guy doesn't live here.

Interesting looking dude cruising through at 11:10 yesterday morning. Big-boy air rifle on his shoulder, ripped sweatshirt, tennis shoes, and cute pajama pants. Oh, and a neat little backpack. Funny thing is, there's a treestand about 15 yards behind him. That brush pile is where I put mineral crap out and corn. No corn there right now, but still, dude didn't notice any of this. Cam triggers every 15 seconds, and this is the only picture I got, so he didn't spend much time messing around.

You would have to really want to be where this picture is taken. It's a steep drop behind it, and you wouldn't think of going up there. You are right behind houses here, so most would avoid it.

That doofus looks hungry. Pretty soon he'll find your corn and start eating it. Don't be surprised if someday the camera disappears. I check that pic out at the sheriffs department or MDC agent and see if they know him.

That's the only thing that makes any sence to me. I can't say that he was squirrel hunting, but had to have been up to something with the air rifle. The pajamas throw the whole thing out of whack.

How are you certain that it is an air rifle?

Also, what is common ground? I have heard that term mentioned a few times regarding urban parcels.

Yeah, it's an air rifle. At first I thought it was a deer rifle, but you can see that it has no scope, has a long, thin barrel, and if you look just over his shoulder, you can see where the barrel break is. It's one of those big-boy air guns, not like the Daisy rifles of our youth.

Common ground, in this case, is a parcel of 60 acres that is owned by my subdivision. We pay the taxes on it through our annual dues. It's able to be used by residents, and has a maintained trail and bridge that leads to the Katy Trail, and wraps around the subdivision.

Agree, Dave, I was figuring shed hunter at first, but the same things threw me. Air gun doesn't make sense, nor do the pajama pants. There is something weighing that backpack down.

Make no mistake, SAMCRO will find out who this is, and SAMCRO will deal with it. You come through my yard with a rifle on your shoulder, a stone's throw from where my kids play, you will be received accordingly.

SAMCRO tracked the douche for a good 1/4 mile through the timber today. SAMCRO now knows where the methhead came from and what he was doing. It's never good to let SAMCRO see your footwear. I will find you.

So basically, a goofy-looking white guy is walking through the timber with a weapon. Seems to me that a trail cam set up at the right place would find you doing the same thing.
