Great hunt

Well I met up with a few other guys from Bust a Buck and we hunted a conservation area south of Lee's Summit this past weekend. Despite the warm temps and the skeeters, we managed to have a really good time. An absolutely incredible group of guys. We hunted Friday-Sunday morning, and collectively actually saw quite a few deer. There were 3 good bucks seen, up to an estimated 140 inch 10 pointer. Oen guy shooting a recurve missed a 125-130" 8 pointer in a clover field, he shot just over his back. I saw a spike Friday morning, then had a doe and mini run past me Friday evening. Didn't see anything Saturday morning, and decided to move my stand to a secluded water hole due to the heat. Hunted Saturday evening and saw a few turkeys then had a big lone doe come in at last light and stop and bury her face in the social doe I had sprayed out before climbing my tree. At a distance of 8 yards, I sent the Razortrick tipped ACC through her ribcage and she ran off 50-60 yards and crashed. I actually ended up being the only one to take a deer, despite a lot being seen. Sunday morning, one of the guys killed a yote at 30 yards, and I had a gang of turkeys at 80 yards, but they never would get any closer. Here are a few pics from the weekend:

Congrats Russ. Sounds like a good time and a nice doe to boot. Just an fyi, the bust a buck guys never fixed my account.
