More FEESH!!!

Post by Limbshot » May 14th, 2018, 10:18 am

HELLO...ELLO...ELLO...ELLO, can anyone hear me...ear me...ear me...
Well after having so much fun Tuesday, we had to get after them again this past Saturday and we were still in them. Pattern had changed a bit and we went from catching all males to almost all females still full of eggs. Three of us limited out in just under three hours and then we kept fishing because we were having too much fun and ended up culling out all of the fish we’d caught that were less than 10 inches. All in all we ended up catching about 5 limits of fish and brought home three solid limits of 10-14 inch feesh. Made for a great fish fry for my son’s graduation party yesterday!!! Here are a couple pics, including my biggest which was a big male black:

Hoping to try it again this weekend if possible. They shouldn't move too far in a week, I hope...

These new weather fronts may change things a little bit. Coming home from my trip last week blew a boat trailer tire@70mph. Had to get towed to a tire store and get two new tires. Plus trolling motor lift rope broke when it was down and I was 8 miles from the dock. Your trip sounds much better.

EEK! Yeah, that is not at all how fishing trips are supposed to go, buddy! They are supposed to be relaxing. We were fortunate not to have any boat issues. Our biggest problem was my wife's line getting run over by the trolling motor which was an easy fix. WE caught so many females with eggs in them Saturday that it seems they should still be I the same general areas this weekend at least.

We called its the trip from hell and I only posted the highlights. If they're still near the bank you should be good. My next trip is for Truman crappie with a buddy who won a guide trip.

Welllllll, we weren't catching them near the bank Saturday. They were suspending out over deeper water, but with the females full of eggs still, I figure they'll be moving up on that part of the lake any day now...

The whole spawn is late this year. Hope you get into them again. Nothing better eating except walleye.

That's exactly what my wife says. Walleye is her favorite. Sadly, I can't eat fish due to a wicked GI reaction I get. :(

That's a shame you can't eat fish. My bil is like that but loves to catch em.

Check with an allergist. Maybe there's something they can do.
