I've been really busy and just now had time to visit this site while sitting in a hospital waiting room.

Busy as always- mainly working on my farm in western MO and trying to get a large crawler loader moved from Wichita. However do need to get over to deal with my new properties near you in Montgomery and Gasconade counties.

How much land you have in Montgomery County? Good deer hunting there.

I have several properties there but not much acreage. My place near New Florence has a creek and deer cross through it to the adjacent corn fields and I have a place on the Loutre River that has deer. If I am going to hunt deer I am going to hunt in NW MO. However might take my niece and nephew hunting there since they live in St. Charles.

Thought about you RB as I drove down Hwy 47 this weekend and went by Hopewell on the way to Beaufort via Washington on Sunday morning.

Yep you were less that 2 miles from here. Beaufort is nice little wide spot in the road. Used to be an old store that that sold the best sammiches back in the day. I think that's the general area one of our members grew up in on a family farm. Have several friends in that general area. You have a place down there?

Just saw this- no family near Beaufort but have a friend that owns property near the Bourbeuse River south of there. I'm going to South Dakota next week for a working vacation- pheasant hunting and fishing on the Missouri River with a quick project trip in the Black Hills in between.

That sounds like a great trip. I hear the upper Missouri is a great fishery and the pheasant hunting is legendary. Let us know how you do.

The trip was pretty good despite a winter storm up there that delayed my return for a day. Limited out each day on pheasants and for the days I did fish we also limited out on nice smallmouth bass and caught a few northern pike as well. The hard part is coming back to nastier weather here in KC- I would rather have the powder snow and 8 degrees in SD than cold rain and sleet on snow and 33 degrees here in MO.

Where the hell have you been? I heard you croaked. Good to see you're still around. Welcome back and comeback soon. Gets lonely around here.
